Success!

Little Isabella went in for her four month checkup on Wednesday. My goal was for her to double her weight by Christmas (10lbs 6 oz). She's done even better, weighing in at 11 pounds! She hasn't been a milk hoarder for nothin'! And stellar reviews on her alertness and social skills. Definitely her father's daughter.

Mighty Spidey & Lil' Bella Bean

Four years ago, Jesse and I had a son. Its a cool feeling, to "give" your husband a son. And there's just nothing like it - being a mother or father. You think you're growing your kids up but they're growing you up just as much. I have so loved being Hudson's mom. I can imagine him kissing my forehead when he gets older, protecting others, a leader like his dad. And now, almost four months ago, we're in for another kind of adventure. Her name is Isabella. Can you imagine Jesse being the father to a little girl? She's turned our world upside down! I see her bringing life to people. She has enchanted anyone she has come across. They just stop and stare and smile. He's ALL BOY and she's just a little charmer.

So we've decided to start a blog...about our kids...our family. There's just too much fun that goes on in any given day that needs to be documented. Oh no, not another mother's blog about her kids! And don't even get her started on her husband! But shoot, I want one...we want one...even if its all for our own entertainment. I want to look back and see how my kids have grown instead of scrolling across pictures on my laptop. I want to remember stories and milestones. I've tried the whole scrapbook thing but just can't get into it. Maybe writing and posting pictures on a blog instead of labeling and plastering them into a book will work a whole lot better for me. It certainly will be a lot more doable for Jesse. We needed a blog name that could adequately portray Hudson's "all boyness" and Isabella's dainty elegance. So stay posted, we'll share our world of dump trucks and daisies as best we can. -m.
